The Beach House Exmouth - Terms and Conditions
1. CONTRACT
The Contract of Hire shall be between the Hirer and the The Barn Exmouth Ltd, Operators of The Beach House Exmouth subject to the Conditions of Hire.
2. BOOKING
Please book via our Booking Form or where available on other booking websites and accept the conditions and payment details. The maximum number of people allowed to stay and enjoy the Beach House and its grounds is 20 unless previously agreed. No additional events or parties can be held without the agreement of the owners of the Beach House. The person booking the house must be 30 years or more in age. The house is not to be used for any commercial purposses or re let on a whole or room by room basis without the agreement of the owners in writting.
3. PERIOD OF HIRE
The Beach House will be ready for you after 4pm on arrival day. Please leave by 10am on departure day.
Changeover day is Friday for weekly hire and Friday and Monday for short breaks.
4. INCLUSIONS
All hot water and heating are included in the rental. Bathroom towels, sheets, pillow cases and douvet covers are provided. A travel cot and high chair is available with prior notification but please bring sheets, blankets/pillows for it.
5. SINGLE SEX GROUPS (Stag)
We do not accept Single Sex Male Group Bookings. If this occurs there will no access to the property & we shall not refund any payments.
6. SINGLE SEX FEMALE GROUPS (Hen party)
Well behaved single sex Hen groups are excepted however from experience extra cleanng is required & there is a standard extra charge of £200
7. BEHAVIOUR & CARE OF THE PROPERTY
Please act in a manner that will not cuase disturbance to residents in neighbouring properties. The house must be left in a clean and tidy condition on departure day, and breakages and/or damage reported and paid for. Any extra cleaning charges and costs of repairs or replacements shall be deducted from the security deposit, however the security deposit will not necessarily be the limit of the client’s liability.
Care must be taken in the vicinity and whilst using the Swimming Pool and Hot Tubb. All instructions and warning signs must be strictly adhered to. The Swimming Pool and Hot tubb must not be used after 10:30pm at night and before 7am in the morning.
No Bands – DJ or loud music to be played in the house at any time or parties to be held with non residents without the permission of the house owners. No music to be played outside of the house after 9pm.
The secuirty deposit may be withheld if any of the above conditions are breached.
No Weddings or other events are allowed at the property including marquees without the written agreement of the property owners.
8. PETS
Pets are allowed in the property with prior approval at an extra charge of £45/ dog. Pets are not allowed upstairs or on any of the furniture. Any room upstairs that we find with excess dog hairs will be charged for an extra cleaning fee of £75 / room.
9. RIGHT OF ENTRY
The property owner or his representative shall be allowed the right of entry at all reasonable times for inspection, repair or maintenance.
10. HOLIDAY CANCELLATION AND CURTAILMENT INSURANCE – APPLICABLE TO ALL BOOKINGS
Cancellation: Your booking is a legally binding contract, and like all contracts you should protect yourself in case things go wrong. That’s why we ask for all our bookings to be protected by holiday cancellation and curtailment insurance. Our terms and conditions contain further details of your liability to us in the event that you cancel your booking – please read them carefully. We regret that cancellations for whatever reason maybe chargeable.
11. CANCELLATION
In the event of the applicant wishing to cancel the arrangements prior to the commencement of the letting and for the reasons not covered by your cancellation policy, and upon notifying the office in writing, we shall endeavour to re-let The Beach House for the period concerned or for such part thereof as may prove possible. If such re-letting can be arranged, the Balance, if already paid, will be refunded less a charge for any additional expenses. The deposit will not be refunded. If the property cannot be relet the full payment including the deposit will not be refunded.
12. AVAILABILITY
The Hiring Contract is made on the understanding that the property and its facilities as published will be available for the dates stated. In the unlikely event that the property is not available through events arising out of the control of the owners, then we may be forced to cancel the booking. The hirer will be advised of any such circumstances as early as possible, and we will refund all monies paid in full – but the Hirer will have no further claims against the owners.
13. COMPLAINTS
In the unlikely event of any complaint you should immediately report the problem. It has to be stressed that we cannot consider complaints reported after you have returned home from your holiday, when the visitor has denied the Owners the opportunity of investigating the complaint and endeavouring to put matters right during the holiday.
14. WEBSITE ACCURACY
We do everything we can to ensure the accuracy of information contained in this website and any advertisements. All information is given in good faith and believed correct at the time of going to press, but we cannot be held responsible for any errors, or the results of such errors. Further, we cannot accept liability for happenings outside reasonable control, such as breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing, wiring, sudden temporary invasion of pests, damage resulting from exceptional weather conditions, closure of local ameneties and attractions.
15. LIABILITY
The owner’s liability shall not exceed the amount actually paid as rental by the hirer for the accommodation. It is an express condition of this Booking that the Owners are not held responsible for any accident, loss or damage which may be sustained by any hirer, member of his party, or visitor, or their property, however caused.
